The Solagen Speed Indication Device
Introducing the latest addition to Solagen’s mobile sign range: The Speed Indication Device (SID) is a slim, lightweight sign, which is simple to operate, has excellent battery life, and can be used with an optional solar power kit.
The SID displays vehicle speeds in real time with a slow down sub plate to emphasis when a vehicle is over the speed limit. The sign automatically caps the maximum speed displayed to discourage racing.
Ideal for temporary use
Solagen’s compact SID is perfectly suited for use at a variety of locations, whether it’s being targeted at specific sites or used around an area on a rotational basis, the SID will stand out from regular signs and help to break the habit of drivers who consistently use excessive speed. When moving to different locations, a simple switch within the battery compartment allows for easy selection between four speed threshold options.
Designed for operating as battery or solar powered
Solagen’s SID is designed to activate for typically 4 weeks without the need for battery replacement, based on average customer sign use. The unit has also been designed for optimum use in conjunction with our solar panels, which can eliminate the need for site visits to recharge the batteries.
